4 Secrets to establishing my brand's identity...

There’s so much beauty and mystery in building a brand that sticks. I want to share with you guys what’s working for me as I grow. Since I launched in February, I get questions weekly from really dope people asking how I got my brand to where it is. There are a lot of things I’ll share later in regards to marketing, but establishing an identity starts before that. So here’s my top list of things I’m learning: Vulnerability and Authenticity One of the things I’m learning is that I don’t need an image. When I was doing 30-40 concerts...

Changing the world one hat at a time...

Changing the world one hat at a time...

I used to be afraid to share my dreams out loud. Now I embrace it. After running my own indie label part time for 8 years, I'd keep my grand ideas of performing to a sold out crowd at Madison Square Garden between me and God. Not so much these days... How in the world would she support two kids without a high school diploma? But she fought for me...and now I get to fight for others just...

Good, good...mmm, mmm, good music! My Curated List.

Good, good...mmm, mmm, good music! My Curated List.

Ever since I was a little kid, I've always loved music.  I used to be amazed by the silky instrumentation of Al Green and the soul of B.B. King blaring throughout the house. If you've never heard "Love and Happiness" or "The Thrill is Gone" growing up, lemme tell ya...you weren't raised right. When I'm down, God encourages me through good music. When I'm up, my boys and I dance around in the kitchen to good music (snapchat @artofhomage). Whether you're about to workout or on the car ride home, I've curated a list of my music for 5 occasions....
